Before zipping... hang on to your hat! We'll take you on a short downhill hike to a spectacular five acre botanical garden located in an old grotto to interact with 30 squirrel monkeys posing for pictures, sitting on heads and shoulders, without fear of humans followed by a further short hike down to a a nearby sanctuary enclosure housing rescue capuchin monkeys that entertain! It's almost certain, they will do something hilarious to make you laugh out loud before heading to the zip lines!

Installed in 2010 and ACCT certified, this is a 4,400 ft top quality zip line park where you can enjoy the cool breezes and spectacular ocean and mountain views. Also home to a large natural monkey habitat where you can interact with the monkeys in a non-impacting way. Two training cables are followed by some fast lines and there is also a 55' vertical fan descender into a newly discovered cave.

The best part of this experience is that 100% of the profits raised by Monkey Jungle go to support the on site medical and dental clinic that provides free care and medicines for the local poor Dominican and Hatian population. Located 25 minutes away from Cabarete.

This course is suitable for all ages, from 3 to 93. Experienced guides lead you up the mountain to the 1st station and are waiting for you at each landing platform. The Zip may be ridden by people with special needs with guide assistance. Young children under 8 ride with a guide.

MONKEY EXPERIENCE INFO:


Children under 3 years of age, or pregnant women may not visit in our jungle.

  • If you have any cold or flu symptoms (including coughing or sneezing) you will not be able to enter our jungle. The squirrel monkeys can catch your cold, and it is fatal to them.
  • Any open wounds need to be covered including blisters, cold sores and cuts.
  • No open toe shoes will be allowed in the jungle. Please wear tennis shoes for your jungle tour as well as zip line adventure.

  • All minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
  • Weight Restrictions:
  • Zip Line: Maximum weight is 300 lbs. No minimum.
  • Free Fall: Maximum weight is 250 lbs. No minimum.
  • This adventure is designed for persons in good physical condition.
  • Pregnant women are not allowed to zip line .
  • Completion of a waiver/release form is required.
  • Closed-toe shoes are required. Tennis shoes are best!
  • Pants or long shorts are recommended.
  • Suitable for ages 3-93
